An Arizona mom of five was shot and killed at a bus stop “for no apparent reason,” her family said.
Cleopatra Johnson, 45, was waiting for a bus in west Phoenix when she was fatally shot around 10 p.m. on Friday, AZ Family reported.
“Someone took her life for no apparent reason,” her ex-husband, Kobie Morton, told the outlet.
When officers arrived at the scene, she was pronounced dead in an apparent homicide, news station KZAZ reported.
No suspects have been named and police haven’t released any motive for the killing.
“She should not be able to go to the bus stop and just get killed like that,,” Johnson’s stepson, Kobie Morton,” told AZ Family.
Johnson was remembered by her family as funny, kind and the life of the party.
“Her personality, she always made us laugh. That is what I will miss most about her,” Morton said.
